Additional Information:

WHAT TIME DO I ARRIVE?: 20 minutes prior to your performance time. If you perform at 12:30pm, arrive at 12:10pm, etc.

HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?: Each recital should be approximately 50 minutes to an hour long.

 

WHERE IS IT?: West Chester University Wells School of Music (Swope Music Building, Room 100) 817 S. High Street West Chester, PA 19383

​

PARKING: Parking is free and there are parking spots next to the Swope Music Building. 

​

WHAT DO THE PERFORMERS WEAR?: Black pants or skirts and white button up shirts or tops is traditional for performances, but not obligatory. Recitals are an important event in a student’s musical development, so we do ask our students to dress nicely. Suits and more formal dresses are also welcome, just make sure that it is something that the student would be comfortable to perform in.

WHAT DO WE BRING?: 1. Your sheet music if you use it.

2. Your violin, guitar, bass, ukulele, etc. (Steinway Grand Piano provided)

3. Drummers, bring your sticks. 4.

Vocalists and pianists only need to bring their music and/or lyrics, if needed.

CAN WE TAKE PICTURES AND VIDEO?: Yes. Please do not take flash pictures while the students are performing as it may distract them. 

​

IS THERE AN ADMISSION CHARGE?: The recital is free and open to the public and everyone is welcome to attend.

Please use your child's full name when registering and add their instrument. ONLY ONE student per slot.

If your child takes 2 lessons and you want them to perform both instruments, please register for 2 slots.
